Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and for him in the following year. He was a part of the team with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. Later, in 2021, He sang a duet 2021 alongside TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. According to him, music was an integral aspect of his daily life. When a young boy was in school, he took guitar as well as the saxophone. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher and the end consequence of him discovering his gift as a singer altered the direction of his life.
